ALL THE DETAILS

DO YOU MARRY SAME-SEX COUPLES?

Yes, we do!

ARE CEREMONIES HELD ANY DAY OF THE WEEK?

Most of our beach elopements take place on weekdays, as beaches tend to be less crowded and parking is usually easier to find. This helps create a more relaxed and intimate experience for your ceremony.

However, if a weekend is the only time that works for you, we’re happy to do our best to accommodate. Just contact us directly to check availability.

CAN I BRING MY OWN PHOTO/VIDEO/OFFICIANT VENDOR?

Our package is designed to include our in-house services. We are a company owned by a photo, video, and officiant team. If our services do not align with your needs, we recommend hiring a full-service wedding planning company instead.

WHERE ON THE BEACH EXACTLY IS THE CEREMONY HELD?

Over the years, we’ve worked at many beautiful spots along Florida’s beaches. The exact ceremony location will depend on which beach you choose for your elopement. Once your package is booked, we’ll discuss the best spot for your ceremony and provide you with the exact meeting location..

WHICH BEACH LOCATIONS DO YOU SERVICE?

With the exception of The Florida Keys and the Panhandle, our team is available throughout most of the State of Florida.

WHICH BEACH IS THE CLOSEST ONE TO ORLANDO?

Cocoa Beach is the closest one to Orlando about 45 minutes to an hour away. If you are staying in the Disney area including Kissimmee, Davenport, or Clermont, it will take you about 1.5 hours or a little longer depending on where you are staying.

WHICH BEACHES ARE MOST POPULAR?

Cocoa Beach, areas around Daytona Beach, Treasure Island (south of Clearwater and St. Pete), and Fort Lauderdale seem to be the most popular ones.

ARE THESE PRIVATE BEACHES OR VENUES?

With the exception of a few Luxury Resorts, there are no private beaches in Florida. Our beach ceremonies are held at various City and County managed beach locations.

DO WE NEED A PERMIT TO GET MARRIED ON THE BEACH?

Depends on the beach location. Our most popular location, Cocoa Beach, doesn’t require a permit. However, most West Coast beaches (Clearwater, St. Pete, Treasure Island, etc.) do. Contact us with your desired location for details.

IS THERE A PLACE TO CHANGE INTO OUR WARDROBE?

We don’t recommend using public restrooms, as they are often wet and may have sand on the floors. For your comfort and convenience, we suggest arriving dressed and ready to begin the ceremony.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I HAVE?

Beach elopements are perfect for couples without guests. However, a few standing attendees are acceptable as long as they are aware ahead of time what to expect (walking and standing on the sand required, no special needs facilities, no seating, no amplified sound, etc.). Just keep it under 10 people total, please.

HOW DOES EVERYTHING WORK?

Our clients tells us they cannot believe how simple and hassle-free the process was! This is how it works:

  1. Contact us to check availability for your day and location.

  2. Once we confirm availability for a date that works for you, we’ll prepare an electronic agreement and invoice to book your day.

  3. As soon as you sign the electronic agreement and pay your retainer, we send you a step-by-step email with due dates and all the information you need to get ready for your day.

  4. You are welcome to reach out via phone, text, or email, with any questions you may have throughout the entire process.

  5. Two months prior your wedding, you will complete a short questionnaire we’ll send you to choose your flowers and tells us a bit about your ceremony preferences. Also, your final payment is due at that time.

  6. The day of the ceremony, we’ll meet at the venue with flowers in hand ready for your ceremony! Yes, it’s that simple!

DO WE MEET UP IN PERSON TO DISCUSS OUR CEREMONY?

You will not meet your team until a few minutes prior the ceremony at the beach. All the details prior the ceremony are handled via email, text, and phone. Our goal is to make the process simple and stress free. The day of the ceremony all you need to do is show up and get married!

HOW DOES THE MARRIAGE LICENSE IN ABSENTIA WORKS?

Our main company, Elope to Orlando, is authorized with our local Clerk of the Courts to help our couples obtain a Florida marriage license in absentia ahead of time. This service is provided free of charge as an added value to our clients, however, it requires a few weeks advanced notice. This is how the process works:

  • The couple completes a special marriage license application that we give them

  • We take that application to our local Clerk of the Courts

  • The Clerk of the Courts will send us the couple's Florida marriage license for processing

  • The couple receive their license via email, and they need to sign the license in front of a Notary, then send it to us via postal mail.

  • We take the signed and notarized license back to the Clerk's Office and get it finalized and stamped, ready for their wedding!

  • The day of your wedding, we'll give the license to the Officiant. You don't have to do anything else!

WHERE DO I GET A FLORIDA MARRIAGE LICENSE IN PERSON?

You can get a Florida marriage license at any Florida Clerk of the Courts office and it’s valid anywhere throughout the State. It's a simple and quick process and all you need is a valid ID. Click here to visit the Orlando Orange County Clerk of the Courts for marriage license application details. Click on the "Marriage License Requirements" option for details of what you'll need.

I LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE/COUNTRY. DO I NEED A MARRIAGE LICENSE FROM FLORIDA?

Yes, you do. To get married in Florida, you need a Florida marriage license regardless of where you live. Your marriage is valid anywhere in the United States and most countries, included the UK. You don't have to do anything else. After the wedding, you will receive a Certified Copy, which is your marriage certificate.

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHY?

The photographer starts taking photos when the ceremony starts and during the ceremony. After the ceremony, he/she will take you around the beach taking photos until his/her time is up. On average you can expect between 75-100 high resolution photos from your elopement experience.

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH THE COMPLIMENTARY VIDEO?

This complimentary service is done by the photographer and it includes the recording of the ceremony service only. A lapel microphone is placed on the Officiant for professional quality sound. The couple will receive their video file via digital download. You may upgrade to add the services of a videographer and/or full coverage from start to finish. Contact us for a details.

WHO WILL GET ME MARRIED?

Either Mya or Hector, owners of Elope to Orlando, will be your Officiant.

CAN I WRITE AND READ MY OWN VOWS?

Absolutely! Just make sure you include this information on your final questionnaire. ;-)

CAN I CHANGE THE OFFICIANT'S CEREMONY?

Each Officiant has a ceremony they have practiced and refined over time—one that reflects their own style, personality, and way of speaking. These ceremonies are usually written by the Officiant and serve as part of their professional approach, allowing them to deliver the ceremony smoothly and confidently. Because of this, making changes to the structure of the ceremony can sometimes disrupt the natural flow.

However, you are always welcome to add a personal touch by writing and reading your own vows during the ceremony. This is a beautiful way to make the moment uniquely yours.

DO YOU ARRANGE VOWS RENEWALS?

Yes, we do! Our package is suitable for vows renewal. They only difference is that you don't need a marriage license because you are already married, therefore, we will discount the marriage license fee from the package.

WHAT TYPE OF FLOWERS ARE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE?

You have the option between roses in natural colors OR a Tropical bouquet with florist's choice of flowers. You can also request a quote for a costume bouquet.

CAN I HIRE OTHER CEREMONY VENDORS ON MY OWN?

That depends on the service they are hired for. Ceremony vendors outside of our team must be pre-approved by by team first to make sure they are properly insured and that will respect our team’s time and services.

WHAT ABOUT MUSIC?

You'll have only beautiful ocean wave sounds from the beach. ;-)

HOW IS THE WEATHER LIKE DURING MY CHOSEN DATE?

Click here and find your date to check out Orlando’s average temperatures and precipitation, which will give you an idea for most of Florida.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR FOR AN OUTDOOR WEDDING IN FLORIDA?

Beach ceremonies can take place year-round in Florida. Most ceremonies are scheduled about an hour before sunset, when temperatures are cooler and the humidity is usually lower. By that time of day, any earlier rain showers have often already passed, making it a comfortable and beautiful time for a beach ceremony.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Usually rain moves away quickly and we can wait it out. Unfortunately, there is no rain backup. Some locations have covered picnic pavilions that can be used in case of rain.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

Our package is already discounted for elopements. Additional discounts are not possible.

HOW FAR OUT CAN I BOOK MY ELOPEMENT?

You can book our services up to a year out.

CAN I BOOK MY ELOPEMENT LAS MINUTE?

Absolutely! As long as our team is available and you’re able to obtain your marriage license in person—or we have enough time to complete the marriage license in absentia process—we can make it happen. We specialize in making elopements simple and stress-free, even on short notice!
